Looking from the outside, esthetically this is a nice looking apartment building and the amenities seem great. However, this is not the case.
I’ll start with management because if the management were better this apartment complex would be better. There has been four management teams here over the last three years. For some reason, they replaced the best manager, M. M was proactive and straight forward. I wish I could say the same about the current management; T and F. Over 60 days ago T stated to me that he would send out newsletter which was to include a notice to residents about loitering outside of residents windows in the pool area and making noise after 10pm. He has yet to do so. T is not a problem solver, he just does what corporate tells him. F, is a robot, it doesn’t seem like he has the capability to receive and process information. F just says yes, no and hit buttons on his computer.
Management is so backwards; that they recently closed the swimming pool for two and a half weeks to refurbish it in the middle of spring; instead of the winter. If you decided to move here, try not to get a unit that face the pool area. Often its very loud out there but that’s understandable during the day. However, there are some neighbors who ignore the rules and stay in the spa area after 10pm. It can very frustrating trying to sleep, relax or have “quiet enjoyment” if your unit face the pool area. The new management has not made any effort to alleviate this problem. The new management actually decreased the presence of our courtesy patrol which could help with this problem.
The walls are so thin in the units that I can hear my neighbors microwave, I can hear her cell phone vibrate on her bed; this is no joke. Some neighbors are so inconsiderate that they play their televisions with surround sound.
I’ve had bouts with termites in my unit off on over the last three years.
The jacuzzi is a cesspool that often looks contaminated with waste. They try to cover up the problem but putting too many chemicals in the jacuzzi that are so strong I can often smell them in my apartment.
The elevators are often out of commission. The security gate is often broken which leaves us without security.
You’re only allowed to get DirectTV at this complex and they charge each resident an additional $100 or more per year for the maintenance of the satellite. Which is unfair to the residents, this is a fee that owners of the building should pay.
Considering the size of the units, the ongoing problems and the lack of management; these apartments are not worth the over inflated cost of rent.
Granted, I’ve had 3 leases here. It’s just really inconvenient to relocate during the time when my lease is up. However, this time around I don’t care if I’m in the North Pole; I’m going to make sure I’m available to move.
